The Spinal Weekend is an intensive 2-day course designed for veterinarians seeking to elevate their expertise in diagnosing and surgically treating complex spinal conditions in dogs. Through a carefully curated mix of lectures, interactive sessions, and hands-on labs, this course offers a deep dive into the anatomy, pathology, imaging, and stabilization techniques of the cervical and lumbosacral spine.

Day 1 – Cervical Spine and C-LOX System

Day 1 focuses on Caudal Cervical Spondylomyelopathy (Wobbler Syndrome), including diagnostic imaging and treatment planning. Participants will gain hands-on experience with the C-LOX implant system during a practical wet lab session following expert-led lectures on surgical techniques and instrumentation.

Day 2 – Lumbosacral Pathologies and Pedicle Screw Systems

Day 2 covers lumbosacral diseases like Degenerative Lumbosacral Stenosis (DLSS) and spinal fractures, with emphasis on imaging and stabilization indications. The LeiPED Pedicle Screw System and the LeiCAGE Intervertebral Cages are introduced, followed by a dry/wet lab session covering technical details, surgical indications, and dedicated instrumentation for both systems, with hands-on practice using spine models.
