Diagnosing Equine Septicaemia – a Guide to Blood Culture and Interpretation

Early detection of bacterial sepsis is critical for successful treatment. But what are the clinical indications for initiating a blood culture, how is it performed in the laboratory, and which pathogens are typically isolated from blood culture samples of septic foals?

This seminar provides practice-oriented knowledge on blood culture diagnostics — covering the entire process from proper sample collection to interpretation of bacterial culture results.
